01 Discipline · GEO
Be the name the generative engines say.
GEO (generative engine optimization) is the practice of structuring your entities, content and authority so generative AI engines, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity among them, can retrieve, trust and recommend your brand inside the answers they compose.

02 Definition
What GEO actually means.
When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini for a recommendation, the engine does not rank ten blue links. It retrieves what it can parse, decides what it trusts, and writes one reply naming a few brands. GEO is the work of being one of them.
The term was coined in a 2023 Princeton University study and has since become shorthand for optimization aimed at generative engines rather than at result pages. Where SEO asks "how high does the page rank?", GEO asks "does the engine know you, believe you, and name you at all?".
It is the generative half of the broader field of AEO (answer engine optimization), and both are what we mean in practice by AI visibility. How it sits next to traditional practice is set out in our comparisons.
03 What the work is made of
Four pillars, and none of them are prompt tricks.
Generative engines synthesize an answer from what they can parse and corroborate. Every GEO lever we pull exists to make that synthesis land on your name.
Entity clarity
Engines recommend names they are certain about. We define your brand as a distinct, machine-readable entity with consistent attributes across every source an engine might read.
Extractable content
A question, an answer that stands alone in two sentences, then the context. Tables, comparisons and FAQs engines can quote verbatim, because extraction rewards structure.
Corroborated authority
Third-party sources repeat the same three facts about you that your own site states. Generative engines weigh corroboration heavily when deciding whom to name.
Measured, not guessed
Share of Recommendation, Citation Share, Top3 and co-mentions, tracked monthly with the same prompt set. If a number cannot move, we do not sell it to you.
04 How we run it
GEO inside the F1 to F5 method.
GEO is not a separate product on our shelf. It is the discipline that runs through every phase of the method, each with its own measurable output.

GEO, answered.
Is GEO the same as AEO?
No, although they overlap. GEO (generative engine optimization) targets the generative engines that compose answers, such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. AEO (answer engine optimization) is the broader discipline that also covers search-based AI like Google AI Overviews. In practice the techniques reinforce each other, and we run them as one program.
Is GEO a replacement for SEO?
No. SEO keeps you in the list of links; GEO gets your name into the single answer that increasingly replaces the list. The two share a foundation of solid content and real authority, but GEO adds entity clarity, structured facts and citation patterns that SEO never needed.
How long does GEO take to show results?
The first measurement lands in five to seven working days with the free audit. Movement in engine answers usually becomes visible within one to two months of the F2 and F3 work, and it holds because it is built on verifiable structure rather than on prompt tricks.

The free AI Visibility Audit reports what ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek say about your brand today, and where the gaps are.
